The code checks the killer's dimension
The completion hook checks whether the credited killer is in the Nether, not whether the snow golem is there. A portal-adjacent tag-and-melt setup may avoid moving the golem, but the Overworld entity must stay ticking within the kill-credit window.

List every quartz, soul, fungus, mob, fortress, bastion, brewing, and return-portal requirement before lighting. The route pays when one entry carries multiple endpoints back to the Overworld.
